Colouring styles and techniques(digital)

A more realistic and detailed approach, I was most intrigued by how they did the reflective surface and putting bright light sources where the water meets banking, however I do not think this would be useful for my comic because I still think a simplistic style would suit better.

Very aesthetically pleasing and somewhat realistic painting style, the smoothness is beautiful however would be tedious in terms of a comic formatting.

great advice for making comic panels, I made the mistake of using lines on their own before so finding out about the add panel material option in layers and the divider tool to make the gaps in the panels, it has this overall clean and professional look however for my comic I do not think I need to go outside the lines.

A rough but enjoyable sketch, I particularly like the face as it gives this very angry look as it is supposed to display his displeasure of being asked about his missing hand before the flash back, however I have been suggested to rearrange the panels as the flashback scene does not make much sense from an outsider prospective.

I have made the necessary changes to make the comic a little more understandable however I think it is missing something important as there is alot of white space and lack of emotion somewhere so decided to add more panels to both make it easier to read and better looking.

I had a bit of a hard time trying to work out if the top panel should have very straight unnatural line work on the cages or to draw in my own, quite wonky lines which, to be honest felt like it gave a friendlier approach to the comic. on asking a few people what they thought would look better, all 3 suggested the hand drawn lines instead.

Here is my finished(hopefully) piece, Using striking white and black speech bubble in the back ground for the last panel to make it more dynamic and so it wasn't just a coloured background, for some reason i had the bright idea of doing the white before the lines and wasted quite a bit of time just trying to outline it.

I am overall happy of this comic, i find it busy and quirky while i have been trying to get different angles in the panels so i dont feel like i repeat myself, although the rabbit has remained the same throughout I think my message of 'listen to instructions' was shown through this as well as showing the quote 'that rabbits too cute to bite' which was what the comic was based on.

 while starting this new comic about the quote "that rabbits too big for our cage but the babies aren't" so i was trying to display it in a way that would be similar yet different to the first, most likely though colour and number of panels(soon) but I got into colouring the little girl quickly as I worried about making her look odd seeing that I dont draw kids very often, I think her face needs alot of improving.

I based the kids clothing off this dress and trouser combo, the bright pink is stereotypical of little girls.

I got skin tones from the girl on the very left which seemed to be close enough to the original quoter.

I have added a little more to the comic and also corrected the girls face, I am very happy with it at this point

A current work in progress trying to combine texture and cartoon, the rabbit may look super serious while i love the lining of his face I don't like the texture so much, I still think block colouring looks better for comics than this texturing
